If you’re searching for good vitamin C serum, and I know you do from the comments and messages, my today’s post is a must-read! You’ll know the name of the best vitamin C serums, learn how to use them and which one of the below products contains a highly-effective, stabilized form of vitamin C.
How to use a facial serum?
Serum is a highly-concentrated product which is made to get into the deep layers of skin and intensively nourish it. That’s why a quality serum is lightweight. It shouldn’t be greasy because it must be covered by a layer of moisturizer. Two products would overburden the skin if they were too heavy. Because serum is condensed, you need only a small amount – 3-5 drops – for single use. Remember: apply it on a fully clean face after toning. Once the serum sinks in, use your moisturizer. Most serums are suitable for use all year, even twice a day. Just remember that some products must go with SPF cream because of photosensitizing properties (e.g. older forms of retinol).
THE BEST VITAMIN C FACE SERUMS – MY RANKING
Nanoil Vitamin C Face Serum
THE BEST FACE SERUM!
To me Nanoil is the best face serum! The formula has been designed carefully: it holds brilliant ingredients, including a stable form of vitamin C which doesn’t break down right after application. An extra component, Punarnava extract, improves the appearance and condition of skin. The light and non-greasy consistency doesn’t leave a sticky feel on the face, but makes it very smooth and soft to the touch. I’m sure it will become your daily must-have and make-up primer.
Beyond that, Nanoil vitamin C serum really works! I could spot the first effects quickly – after around two weeks. The speedy performance shows the product’s top quality. With longer use, the serum visibly lessens more serious imperfections like face lines. It made my skin much better. The face is rested-looking, clear, radiant, elastic and smooth! The hydration is improved as well. A great price for a serum that works well on all skin types and ages. Wrapping up, Nanoil vitamin C rocks! <3
Obagi Professional C Serum
I really enjoyed using this professional face serum. I only wish it was cheaper and came in a bigger bottle… Naturally, the price is a matter of opinion and we’re different on how much is too much for a really effective face serum. Obagi Professional C Serum produces good effects but it contains the old type of vitamin C (unstable ascorbic acid). Thankfully there’s a high concentration of it so the effect will finally show up. I think it’s mostly recommended for young skin which isn’t fighting against wrinkles but loss of healthy shine for example. It will come in useful if you want to get rid of post-acne marks – it has a good lightening effect.
Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum
A very pleasant-to-apply serum with vitamin C. Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop has a smaller amount of vitamin C but it’s high in super botanical extracts: tiger grass, yuzu fruit, lotus flower, Baikal skullcap, broccoli, peony and grapefruit. A nice list, isn’t it? Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum definitely deserves to be noted for the components, plus it boasts a light consistency which sinks in well, without congesting the skin or leaving a greasy film. On top of that, it comes in a very nice bottle (but to me bottles for Nanoil serums top all other serums on the market!). The product nourishes and improves the skin, protecting it from loss of water. Remember to use a small amount – it’s a thick gel.
Sesderma C-vit Liposomal Serum
It’s probably the best-known serum containing vitamin C. It’s also a highly-rated one for its skin benefits. Sesderma C-vit Liposomal Serum is quite thick and heavy. If you’ve got combination skin it may work well but if it’s oily, then it probably won’t be the best choice, especially for day use. This product has a nice scent, resembling citruses. Used on dry skin, it sinks in quickly to instantly moisturize it. Sesderma C-vit Liposomal Serum is pleasant to apply. I’ve heard some girls saying it causes tingling or burning sensation but it doesn’t on my skin. A stable and effective form of vitamin C is used in the serum – a positive for sure!
