We all women love to have lovely fresh looking hair. Unfortunately, many of us, especially teenage girls have a problem of how to keep your hair fresh longer than just a day after washing it. If often seems that when you wash, it doesn’t last fresh for more than 24 hrs. even when you use a special shampoo for oily hair.
Don’t get frustrated. There is a way to reduce the production of oil.
How to do that? The most difficult part will be washing your hair less often. It seems irrational not to clean your hair when it looks flattened and greasy but the more often you clean it the faster oily it gets.
You can train your hair to release less oil. You should know that when using strong dandruff shampoos you clean not only your hair but also your scalp washing it off from natural oils your body produces to make hair stay strong and shiny.
If you overuse shampoo your body gets the signal that there is not enough natural oil left and to protect the scalp it needs to produce more of it. The results is your hair becomes oily within hours after washing it. The good news is that if you do the effort and try to wash it less frequently your scalp will be conditioned to release less and less oil.
If you don’t have time to wash your hair and is already very greasy you can dry wash it. All you need is an empty container two table spoons of potato starch, and an old, clean foundation or any make-up brush. Fill the container with the starch and apply small amount of the powder on the brush. Take a small section of your hair and apply the starch to the roots. The potato flour will instantly absorb any excess grease and will leave your hair looking oil-free and fresh. Gently massage your scalp with your fingers. Remember to brush out the remaining powder from your hair. This way you can make your hairstyle look nice on the busy days or between showers.
