Perfection is considered a relative term. However, it is the quality that I am constantly looking for when choosing my makeup products, especially when it comes to mascara. I have been disappointed by products that were advertised by celebrities many times as in my case, they turned out to be useless. However, I was able to choose a few mascaras that worked out in the end. Get to know them better!
How do I choose a mascara?
Mascara is one of the basic makeup products for me. I have to admit it’s the base for my eye makeup. I don’t usually use either eye shadow or eyeliner, so mascara helps me accentuate my eyes.
The most important aspect for me is always the brush. It should be properly shaped and able to coat even the shortest lashes. In addition, I also pay attention to the product’s formula. It should not only lengthen, thicken and curl, but also nourish the lashes without overburdening them. I also pay attention to the price. The fact is that a good mascara is usually not cheap but it should not cost a fortune either.
Considering all the above-mentioned factors, I managed to find and test 4 products that met my requirements. Are you curious which one is the absolute best for me?
TOP 4 mascaras that met my expectations
As I said, before I decided to include any product in my ranking, I had to test it first. That way I could learn about its advantages and disadvantages. So my ranking is objective and you can trust it when choosing a product for yourself.
1. Nanolash Mascara
Let’s start with the leader which opens my ranking of the best mascaras. The first place goes to the Nanolash mascara which ensures perfection I was looking for so long.
The product comes in two versions:
- Nanolash Volume Up Mascara – a thickening mascara;
- Nanolash Length & Curl Mascara – a lengthening and curling mascara.
This variety is much appreciated and I currently own both options and am extremely satisfied with them. Nanolash mascara doesn’t smudge or leave clumps on the lashes and seems to be resistant to moisture. I successfully used it in the sauna and did not have to worry about the “panda eyes effect”.
A big plus for the unique, perfectly shaped silicone brush. It allowed me to reach even the shortest lashes and cover them evenly with the mascara. What’s more, I can build up the intensity – from a natural to a false lash look. So, could I have found a better product? At this moment, I don’t think so.
2. Lashcode Mascara
The next product I want to introduce to you is Lashcode Mascara. I can say that this is a very decent product with a velvety texture and a formula that does not overburden the lashes. This mascara effectively lengthens and thickens lashes and is extremely long-lasting.
The brush in Lashcode Mascara is similar to the one in the Nanolash mascara. It features a great shape that separates the lashes and makes it easy to apply the product.
3. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
The next place goes to the Maybelline Great Lash. This is a pretty good mascara that lengthened my lashes and made them look great. The effect, however, was quite short-lived. I quickly found that the mascara began to smudge and crumble. This is one of the biggest drawbacks of this mascara.
As for the brush, I have no major complaints about it. It is quite well-shaped and separates the lashes nicely. In my opinion, it could be a bit longer, which would make the product application much easier.
4. Clarins Be Long Mascara
Clarins Be Long Mascara is another product that I have warm feelings about. I must admit that I was delighted with the well-shaped brush, which helped me effectively and evenly distribute the product on my lashes.
Unfortunately, I also noticed a few drawbacks. First of all, the mascara has a very watery consistency and takes quite a long time to dry. This makes it much more difficult to apply another coat, which I think is essential. I also have to say that the mascara didn’t last very long without wearing off or smudging on the eyelid.
The perfect mascara – which one will be right for you?
Choosing the perfect mascara is rather an individual matter. I will not tell you which product will allow you to achieve the desired results. However, the products I have presented in the ranking should certainly interest you.
Pay special attention to the Nanolash mascara. This product deserves to be called the best and is truly excellent. It ensures your makeup stays on all day long, and the “panda eyes effect” will no longer be your bane.
Remember to match the mascara perfectly to your needs and pay attention to the formula too. This way you will be able to choose the product that can bring out the full depth of your gaze and will simply not disappoint you.
